The Position

We are looking for an experienced Client Systems Administrator to help develop, maintain, and support our rapidly expanding client infrastructure. You will be part of a talented team of engineers that demonstrate superb technical competency, delivering mission critical infrastructure and ensuring the highest levels of availability, performance and security. Qualified systems administrators may have a background in Managed IT, helpdesk support, Windows system administration, or Microsoft 365 administration.


Responsibilities

  • Manage, monitor, support all installed systems and infrastructure: Windows desktops, Windows servers, Microsoft 365, Microsoft Office applications.
  • Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows based office environments and common applications (Outlook, Acrobat, Word, Excel, Edge, Chrome, etc)
  • Proactively ensure the highest levels of client systems and infrastructure performance, integrity, and availability.
  • Receive inbound calls, emails, and tickets from clients, working to ensure timely and complete resolution of requests.
  • Implement and maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies.
  • Advise and consult with clients and end users to help them improve their use of technology in a secure and efficient way.
  • Participate in the design of client IT systems, networks, cloud environments, and security strategies.
  • Provide escalated support for issues and tasks beyond the capabilities of other staff.
  • Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution.

Preferred Knowledge and Experience

  • Experience with Remote Monitoring and Management (RMM) systems.
  • Proficiency working with support ticketing systems and keeping good notes of issues and project work.
  • Practical networking knowledge: network switching, TCP/IP, DNS, wifi coverage.
  • Any familiarity with the following is a plus:
    • MDM solutions, InTune
    • Mac computer support
    • Microsoft Defender for Endpoint
    • Microsoft Advanced Threat Protection
    • Windows 365, Azure Virtual Desktop
    • Writing monitoring scripts, automating fixes through scripting
    • Developing user guides, training, and documentation (written or video)
    • Developing and maintaining internal protocols, procedures, and documentation
  • Ability to safely lift and manipulate at least 50lbs.
